PROJECT
-
In response to the LA Wildfires we are mobilizing up to $2 million of catalytic investment to launch the L.A. Basin Resilience and Restoration Project—an urgent, science-led initiative to protect communities, restore landscapes, and build a scalable model for post-wildfire recovery in Los Angeles.
How the $2M Will Be Used
Invest in science and coordination: Support ecological analysis, satellite imaging, and risk mapping, in close collaboration with CALFIRE, FEMA, and local agencies to guide reforestation where it's needed most.
Fund on-the-ground action: Enable trained field teams to assess damage, engage communities, and design restoration plans that protect neighborhoods and natural resources.
Mobilize rapid response logistics: Ensure crews can quickly access high-risk burn areas to stabilize land and launch early recovery efforts.
Power reforestation and workforce development: Provide seedlings, tools, and local job contracts to begin planting and site prep—generating immediate employment and visible impact across the L.A. Basin.
